Phillip Rowntree is a male actor and director. He trained at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA)
Phillip has sang with world class soloists as a member of the Northern Sinfonia Chorus, under the direction of renowned Conductors such as Thomas Zehetmair, Thierry Fischer and Nicholas McGegan and Chorus Master Simon Halsey, for two seasons.
Phillip has starred in the BBC childrenīs drama Byker Grove and in 2005 he recorded a song for the film Palace on Wheels.
Phillip's acting credits include; Nickolai Skrobotov in Enemies, Rawheadandbloodybones & The Skriker in The Skriker, Romeo in Romeo and Juliet, Ezra Chater in Arcadia, Snug in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Austin Bennet in I Love You Because, Mr Thompson in Daisy Pulls it Off, George in Our Finest Hour and Marvin in Falsettoland.
He has also directed Christopher Hampton's Treats, Don Nigro's The Girlhood of Shakespeares Heroines, his own pantomime Cinderella and Lucy Prebble's The Sugar Syndrome.
Phillip's is Managing Director of Sell a Door Theatre Company and regularly produces its productions.
